Helping Us With Fundraising
Southland Help are always looking for new ways to raise funds for the service. Currently our busiest time of the year is during the month of May when we celebrate Sexual Violence Awareness week. During this time we reach out to dedicated and motivated volunteers to assist us with both fundraising and awareness-raising in the Southland community. If you would like to get involved in Sexual Violence Awareness week you can contact us.

Campaigning

Everyone Needs The Right Help
Rape and sexual abuse can destroy lives. Everyone needs the right help.

"Everyone needs the right help" is a Green Party campaign highlighting the under-resourcing of specialist survivor services for people who have been raped, sexually assaulted and/or sexually abused. The 'Everyone needs the right help' campaign was launched in 2012.

"Every survivor of sexual violence can access the services they need. The New Zealand Government must significantly increase the current funding of specialist survivor services in the 2014 budget."

"Our mission is to raise awareness of the life-saving and life-enhancing services needed by survivors in our communities."

The Campaign's Facebook Page

This page includes information on how YOU can support the campaign to enable every survivor of sexual violence to access the services they need. It also lists specialist survivor agencies and other supportive organisations across Aotearoa. We welcome your questions and commentary, but please follow the guidelines.
